Aphrael. Child-Goddess of the Styricum. The eternal child. While aging is something beyond one's control, I hope to have some part of me remain as a child forever. It keeps things fresh. Children are unbounded by limitations, with imagination that is wild and free, and a purity unmatched by anything else. Thus the name Aphrael.
While I will not say exactly who I am (by real name), I can tell you that I am currently 21 years old (as of 8/28/2011). I'm a student at Washington University in St. Louis. An Anthropology major planning on studying human evolution or maybe food culture. I am a half baked techie and aged reader, as well as a ear researcher (whales!!!). Cooking is something I picked up along the way, but have fell in love with. My dream (not really a dream) is to someday find a girl who I can cook for. This girl has to have the following qualities: Eat anything, Enjoys good food, and I have to be able to talk about anything with her. For some reason, haven't found anyone quite like this. Oh well. This blog was inspired by my friend, Angie, who has an amazing fashion blog that I occasionally (I'm a guy... I don't really do girl fashion) look at. Visit her blog (if you are into fashion) www.pandaphilia.com , check mine often (for recipes... we all eat at some point), and we could be the best of friends!
Live long and eat well.
Aphrael
P.S. Can't really think of good food related end phrases. Thus the 'Live long and eat well' thing. 'Bon Appetit' seems so overused, and I just can't bring myself to use 'Good Eats', the quote often used by one of my favorite celebrity chef, Alton Brown. Let me know if you have any good ideas.
